About
Danysha Ligon is a scholar, dramaturg, and librarian currently based in San Antonio, Texas. Shifting the perspective of learning, Danysha marries theatre and storytelling with traditional academic research. Upon graduating from Texas Womans University, she has been devising new theatre works for young audiences and collecting local San Antonio history. Her life experiences as a Haitian-American woman have devoted her scholarly and artistic endeavors to spotlighting culture, inclusion, and diversity. She hopes to spread the love of storytelling and pay homage to those who came before her and leave much for those that will go after her. She hopes to use her experiences and training to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation of innovators, thinkers, explorers, change-makers, and artists.
